RG Construction Ltd has been established since 2004. The Directors Trevor Rudling and Darren Godliman are timed served and have many years of experience in the construction industry from trade, supervision and management in all types of construction and promote themselves as a professional organisation

RG Construction Ltd was also awarded its recognition within industry and became a member of the Chartered Institute of Building then subsequently allowed its current Building Company status based on its professionalism within the company.

What We Do:

General construction work:

RG Construction Ltd will undertake most construction and general building jobs form small repairs, maintenance jobs, fitting kitchens, roofing works, brickwork, flintwork and carpentry works of all descriptions

New build projects:

RG Construction Ltd have completed numerous new builds and will design, if needed and build the client there dream home in a clean, efficient and cost affective project to a very high standard plus doing all this in a friendly, approachable, versatile and professional manner.

Driveways, landscaping fencing and services onto site can also be undertaking along with incorporation of ECO installations for example air source heat pumps and solar panelling.

Your new build can be project managed and professionally inspected (satisfying mortgage lenders) undertaking ECP SAT Calculations and air testing or just to take those unwanted hassles away from you.

Barn Conversion

We knew this old derelict hay barn was going to be a challenge!

The existing timber frame and roof had to remain to meet planning legislation, however the old brick and flint plinth walls and foundations had to be removed to accommodate the new foundations and brick plinth walls. The challenge was to support the existing frame and roof with designed structural scaffolding and jacks then remove and renew everything under it.

A new timber frame extension was added with stepped floors to accommodate the sloping site.  The building was insulated and clad in black finished timber weather boards with contrasting red brickwork and Victorian clay roof tiles. The internals showcased the new and existing Oak timber frames. To conclude the project a four bay timber frame garage space with office above was built.

House Build

This was a 1940s government built farm house which we extended both ends. The existing roof was removed and extended vertically to form a second floor.

The internals were totally demolished - 50 tonnes of it crushed and recycled for hardcore which we used within the build.

The existing rustic LBC bricks and new block work were finished in a coloured render and contrasting larch timber weather boards which have been left to silver off naturally.

Conversions and renovations:

RG Construction Ltd have the expertise, knowledge and experience to converting barns into homes over a number of years which have included structurally supporting the entire frames and roof and removing and renewing the supporting plinth walls beneath!

Also undertaking is the renovations of some sizeable farm houses including Grade 1 and 11 listed buildings including the management and liaison required with the authorities whilst carrying out this type of work.

Specialisation in loft conversions and the challenges they provide with access and structural support and steelwork that building control enforce along with the conversion of a garage to a habitable room or rooms to created invaluable extra space in your home.
